Journey: Decide
Is this movement worth making?
Not only whether to say yes — what you would be saying yes to
Conversation separated what happened from what it meant. Reflect asked what stayed with you. Decide brings the journey back together: the role, the organisation, yourself, and the movement between them.
Nobody here will tell you what to choose. The aim is to see the choice clearly enough that it is yours.
The role and the system
Do you understand what you would be entering?
What appears to be expected, what success would require, where the real decision rights sit, which tensions remain. Then: which of these do you know, and which are you assuming?
- What remains unclear about the role?
- Do they understand who you actually are?
- What part of you would this role use — and what might it suppress?
The movement
What saying yes opens, and what it closes
Every move has a cost, even a good one. Declining has consequences too: it preserves some things and leaves others unresolved.
- What would saying yes make possible, and what might it close?
- What would saying no preserve — and leave unresolved?
- What are you choosing more of, and less of?
A test
Towards something, or away from something?
One question can help separate attraction from escape, without deciding what the answer should mean.
If my current situation improved tomorrow, would I still want this?
